New Gringotts Wizarding Bank
“Gringotts, the wizard bank! Ain’t no safer place. Not one. Except perhaps Hogwarts.” Rubeus Hagrid. This fantastic new edition to the tour will give you the opportunity to explore the magnificent Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Marvel at the crstal chandeliers and marble pillars of the grand banking hall and likewise what treasures are being hidden in the dephs of the Lestrange Vault, incluidng the Sword of Gryffindor and one of Voldermort’s horcruxes. This impressive 16500sqft set will be the biggest addition to the Studio Tour because it has been designed by many of the original crew members who worked on the magical film series. As a result it’s sure to be a spectacle to behold!
About the Tour
Visit the magnificent Hogwarts Castle Great Hall. First of all, explore Dumbledore’s password protected office. Then move onto exploring the Gryffindor Common Room in Gryffindor Tower. This was Harry’s first comfortable home experience due to the face it was warm, literally with a massive fire-place. In contrast take a browse around Hagrid’s Hut and the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes shop. Secondly, see the many iconic props including Harry’s Nimbus 2000, the Sword of Gryffindor and the Sorting Hat. Thirdly, down the cobbled Diagon Alley and discover the behind-the-scenes secrets including the breath-taking model of Hogwarts castle used in all eight films to stunning effect.
Step on Platform 9 3/4 to have your photo with the iconic trolley disappearing through the wall. After that steep-on-board the carriages of the famous Hogwarts Express in the station used in the films and learn how the iconic train scenes were created. Enjoy a visit to the enticing Harry Potter shop where you can purchase everything from a golden galleon from Gringott’s Bank to a wand from Ollivander’s – there is something for all children and adults alike..
The Forbidden Forest
This Forbidden Forest may be off-limits to Hogwarts Students, however you are invited to defy Professor Dumbledores’s orders and follow in the footsteps of Harry, Ron and Hermione deep into the grounds of the Forbidden Forest. The Forbidden Forest consequently offers shelter and protection to Hippogriffs and Acromantula, among others. It is also well known to beloved half-giant Hagrid in his role as Care of the Magical Creatures professor. One of the Rubeus Hagrid’s original costumes will be on display, lantern in hand, to welcome you to the forest. Filled with 19 trees each with a diameter of over 12 feet, you will walk beneath the giants entwined roots on your journey and will even be able to control the weather using the same techniques used by the filmmakers.
